Quick Card and another pdf!

Happy Wednesday evening! I decided to gather the latest batch of sketches together in a pdf for you. And I might as well post a quick card I made the other week, right! To get the gradient style drinks I simply inked up the stamps with the lighter colour, then went over it gently with the darker one!

Supplies: Stamps: Day at the Beach Ink: Hawaiian Shores, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Orange Zest, Pure Poppy, Chartreuse, Sunflower, Fresh Snow Paper: Hawaiian Shores, Melon Berry, Lemon Tart

Here's the link to sketches 81-95. FTL 81-95

If you're looking for the links to the older pdf, they are in this post.

Ten Minute Monday + Giveaway

Hello! I've got an ultra quick card for you today featuring Papertrey Ink's 3rd anniversary set, Round and Round. I stamped the image on a pre-cut circle. Then I stamped it again on some scrap cardstock, once in Hawaiian Shores and once in Lemon Tart. I cut out each flower and attached them with a pop dot onto the original image. So, can you guess what I have in the giveaway department? This very set, I've got a spare ready to go to someone who didn't earn it! Here's a link to the set if you would like to take a peek. To be eligible, please leave a comment on this post, I'll be doing the draw Thursday, May 13th at 9:00PM CST. Good luck!

Ten Minute Saturday

Hello everyone. Sorry there's no sketch this week. With all the family get-togethers and also trying to maintain a general state of relaxed-ness on the days off, the sketch just didn't happen!

I do have a ten minute (really it was less) card for you though! Using Dot Spot, Birthday Basics, and few Memento inks, I had a card ready in a snap!

I've also grouped the sketches, up to FTL 81 in four documents. Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to actually export a 4-page document with the software I have. Hopefully this is an acceptable alternative! *Amendment* Due to the awesomeness of others in the crafting community, Amy has grouped these into a single .pdf. Woot! It should be here soon. If that doesn't work, you can also try here.

Ten Minute Thursday?

I just really wanted to share this card (technically I made it Tuesday, but I only uploaded it today). As I discussed over at my other blog I've gotten a little into letterpress, or at least attempting to make a faux version. This card features two of my designs that I had made into photopolymer plates. I inked them up with some grey ink (from Lifestyle Letterpress) and ran them through my cuttlebug on some luscious Crane Lettra cotton paper. I love the results! I also liked how the sun was shining, so I photographed it without the photo box. I think it helped the texture of the pressed design and the paper appear a bit clearer.

Ten Minute Monday and a Question

First up, here's a fun and quick card. I really love how vibrant pigment inks show up on kraft cardstock! I think the card is pretty straight forward (most ten minute cards are!), but if you have any questions about it, let me know! Now, I have a question for you. If I were to start posting videos:
1) Is that something you'd like to see?
2) What would you want the videos to be about (it seems like everything has been done!)
Supplies: Stamps: Star Prints, Petal Power, In & Out: Baby (PTI) Ink: Colorbox Moss Green, Peacock, Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip, PTI Fresh Snow Paper: White, Kraft Accessories, etc.: Star Punch

10 Minute Monday on Tuesday

I created this card for the SCS color challenge today and for a class assignment in the Great Card Design Class that I am taking online with Julie Ebersole. I had saved the negative cut from my Cuttlebug Buttrfly die cut so I used that as a mask. I sponged on Taken with Teal and Apricot Appeal and then stamped the silhouettes with Chocolate Chip. The sentiment is from Verve's Abundant Blessings as is the cattail silhouette. The dragonfly is from PaperTrey's Pond Life. Supplies: Stamps - PaperTrey, Verve; Ink - SU! Taken with Teal, Apricot Appeal, Chocolate Chip; Paper - PaperTrey; Misc - sponge, mask

Ten Minute Monday

Here's a quick, colourful birthday card for this week's ten minute Monday. I stamped and coloured a monster from Silly Monsters. The background was made by embossing the Pebbles plate onto pink cardstock, then attaching that to white cardstock and cutting out that whole piece with Labels 8. I added a bit of ribbon, the monster, and a sentiment and put it all together on a black card base.

Ten Minute Monday 09/14/09

I've got an ultra quick, ultra simple card to share today. I was in the mood for a one layer card with a bit of a colour pop. I chose my ribbon first, then found one coordinating colour and an earthy neutral. Sometimes, it's easy to forget how nicely using markers for inking up stamps can turn out! Supplies: Stamps: Feel the Joy (Unity stamps, from i {heart} papers), Sincere Salutations Ink: Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede Paper: Rustic WhiteAccessories, etc.: Ribbon

Ten Minute Monday- 08/31/09

I have started to see a few holiday cards here and there, so I figured I would make one. Originally I was going to do this layout with flowers. I found these awesome rhinestones and pearls, that are exactly the same as the Kaiser ones, at the dollar store. I was trying to come up with ways to use them. Since I just wasn't feeling the flowers, I thought, snowflakes, that will work!
Supplies:
Stamps: Snowflake Serenade, Holiday Wishes
Ink: Vintage Vanilla
Paper: Enchanted Evening
Accessories, etc.: Pearls

Ten Minute Monday- 08/24/09

This was truly a 5 minute card, tops. I didn't even have to think hard about my colour combination. I decided to use the suggested colours in Dawn's colour challenge. I took 3 images from gel-a-tins Unbeleafable, arranged them in a pleasing manner, grabbed a sentiment from PTI's Mixed Messages and finished it off with a bit of ribbon.
Supplies:
Stamps: Unbeleafable, Mixed Messages
Ink: Melon Berry, Hibiscus Burst, Spring Moss
Paper: Vintage Cream
Accessories, etc.: Hibiscus Burst Twill ribbon

Ten Minute Monday - HB You Old Bird!

I made this card for the Ten Minute Monday card and for this week's SCS CAS challenge which is to make a masculine card. Usually I rely on patterned paper to help me with a masculine card - but I wanted a quick and clean card this time. I stamped the owl and sentiment with SU! Chocolate Chip and colored the leaves with SU! Old Olive marker. I thought that the sentiment left a big enough impact that I didn't need to add anything else to this card. Supplies: Stamps - Inkadinkado; Ink - SU! Chocolate Chip; Paper - PaperTrey; Misc - SU! Old Olive marker

Ten Minute Monday 08/17/09

I got this cute Hero Arts Dandelion image when I visited my brother in Toronto in July and I hadn't used it yet, gasp! I decided to do a bit of spectrum sponging. I stamped and embossed the flower, then chose my colours- Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, and Almost Amythest. I added a small brown sentiment and a matching mat and placed it on textured white cardstock!
Supplies:
Stamps: Dandelion (hero arts), Mixed Messages (PTI)
Ink: Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Almost Amythest, Rich Cocoa
Paper: White, Dark Chocolate, Textured White
Accessories, etc.: White EP, sponge

Ten Minute Monday 08/10/09

Hello!
I've got a quick card for you today (imagine that!). I thought it'd be fun to use all the new In Colors on one card. I started with stamped flowers in a mostly random fashion. I used Soft Suede for the centers and the greeting and Kiwi Kiss for the leaves. I'm impressed with how well the 6 colours work together. Kiwi Kiss just happens to fit nicely into the mix too.
Supplies:
Stamps: Floral Frenzy, Birthday Basics, Polka Dot Basics
Ink: Curry, Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Dusty Durango, Kiwi Kiss, Soft Suede
Paper: Melon Mambo, White, Bermuda Bay

Ten Minute Monday 08/03/09

I've got a sneak peek from one of the new I {heart} papers stamp sets. This one is called Hugs from a Bug and it's adorable! I went with clean and simple (of course!), letting the cute bumblebee stand for itself. I stamped the bee twice, once on the base white layer and again on scrap cardstock. I coloured it in with Copic markers and added a bit of sparkle to the wings with the clear spica glitter pen. The pattern paper is by Penny Lane. The card came together quickly so I thought it'd be great for Ten Minute Monday!
Supplies: Stamps: Hugs from a Bug Ink: Palette Noir Paper: Soft Sky, Penny Lane Passion Robin's Egg, White, Black Accessories, etc.: Copic markers, pop dots, black grosgrain, Clear Spica glitter pen

10 Minute Monday - Color my World

I made this card out of desperation! I could not think of how to use the color combination that was a challenge in the SCS Dare to get Dirty (DTGD) forum. The colors were real red, more mustard, and bashful blue. So I finally decided on this graphic design made with PaperTrey's Polka Dot Basics. The sentiment is from PaperTrey's Shapes by Design. Totally a CAS card and made in under 10 minutes!!

Ten Minute Monday 07/27/09

I just returned from a nice, but brief holiday to Toronto. I am slowly getting to all the amazing sketch challenge cards from weeks past. I try to comment on them all.
I returned home to a Papertrey Ink parcel with a few of the latest releases. I couldn't resist ordering the Everyday Button Bits set. There are so many cute images and sentiments in the set. I decided to make an ultra simple card with the hot air balloons and some buttons in primary colours.
I stamped the ground and cut it out, placed that on the blue "sky" background, added the balloon baskets image and chose my buttons. Finally I added a scalloped mat and a greeting.
Supplies:
Stamps: Everyday Button Bits
Ink: Spring Moss, Rich Cocoa, Pure Poppy
Paper: White, Bashful Blue, Lemon Tart
Accessories, etc.: Buttons, pop dots, scalloped square nestabilities
