FTL 234 Happy Mothers day!!

Hey everyone!! This is my first official time being a contributor on the blog!! I am very honored to be here and look forward to many more sketches!!!

So for my card today I also decided to incorporate the ColorQ 182 challenge. Took me a while to find something that worked and when I saw the sketch I knew it was meant to be!!

The color challenge was to use Always Artichoke, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Wisteria Wonder from SU!! The stamp I used is from the Wplus9 set mother day bouquet!!

Hope you all have a great Friday and a very happy Easter!!!

FTL234 - Happy Birthday

I wanted to make a birthday card for a friend who loves purple and irises so I used Natasha's sketch and the colors from the Color Queue Challenge (CQC182).  I used Kitchen Sink Stamps to create this 4 step stamped flower.  The butterfly and sentiment are from PaperTrey.

Happy Friday!

I'm sure most people are off today. I managed to get a 4 day weekend! Yippy!

I have a family dinner this afternoon and another one tomorrow. I have to say, for some reason this year, I am missing being a kid and having the easter egg hunt.

I still have a sketch for you though!

Here it is:

And here's my project. I just go these supplies and was itching to use them:

Stamps:  Sent with Love bundle, Simply You
Ink: Pool Party, Island Indigo
Paper: Island Indigo, Pool Party, Sent with Love bundle
Accessories, etc.: button, baker's twine

Happy Friday!!!

So... bad news... it's still been all wintery this past week. Sigh. We got hit with another large batch of snow on Monday, about half a foot. Doesn't sound like much... but add that to the 140cm we've already had this winter and it's getting quite tiresome! I want spring, and flowers, and lots of sunshine... I think you might catch that vibe in this week's card :)

Just an update on the pdf files. They are coming... eventually. The software I use to compile the sketches is on my PC, which I don't have set up. I'll get to these as soon as I can, hold tight!!

Here's the sketch:

Some measurements:
The card itself is approximately 4.25x4.25. The actual card stock is more like 4.25x8.75. There's about a half inch extra in order to make the top tab.
Next layer is 4x4
The image layer is 2.5x2.5, with a 2-5/8 x2-5/8 frame.

Here's my card. I was quite happy with how it turned out!

Stamps: Summer Silhouettes, It's a Jungle Out There (seriously, the happy birthday greeting is the best font and size!!!)
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Summer Sunrise
Paper: Kraft, White, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party
Accessories, etc.: Edgers #5, Cover Plate: Circles, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon Pop Dots, Corner Rounder

If you play along, please leave a link to your project!

Happy Friday!! Here's this week's sketch.

Some basic measurements -the square focal point is 2-1/4 x2-1/4.

Here's my card. I was in the mood for something bright and summery. The temperature dipped back down near -20, hopefully we'll be above 0 soon!

Stamps: Birthday Basics, Flipping Out
Ink: Orange Zest, Harvest Gold, Raspberry Fizz
Paper: Simply Chartreuse, Raspberry Fizz, White, Harvest Gold, Retired Stampin' Up! DSP
Accessories, etc: 1-3/4'' circle punch, twine thread, mini rhinestones

Happy Friday!

Here is this week's sketch. I made the sketch rather specific, but you can definitely look beyond the images that I used. The main idea is to have a mostly one layer creation. It should be square and it should have some sort of fun element that extends off of the card front.

Here's my project:

Stamps: Up, Up and Away, Stylish Sentiments: Birthday
Paper: Spring Rain, White
Ink: Tuxedo Black
Accessories, etc: Felt, Cloud Die, Balloon Die, Copic

As always if you play along, feel free to post a link to your project:

FTL230, Thank You From My Garden

Hi friends. I thought that I'd pop in real quick to share with you a card that I made for this challenge. I love the spring colors that I used on this card and am very happy with the way that it turned out and hope that you are too. It was so easy to make just cutting a few layers, two die-cuts and then stamping my leaves and sentiment directly onto the white card stock.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today

Stamps: Cutting Garden, Sending You (Papertrey Ink)
Card Stock: Aqua Mist, Spring Moss Stamper's Select White, Sweet Blush (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Hibiscus Burst, Spring Moss, True Black (Papertrey Ink)
Pearls: White Pearls (Martha Stewart)
Die-Cuts: Cutting Garden (Papertrey Ink)
Tools: Big Shot (Stampin' Up!)
Size: 5-1/2 x 4-1/4

Happy Friday! Happy March!

I hope you're ready for another sketch.

Here's my card!

Not much to say as far as dimensions go. It's your standard A5 card. The main layer is 3.5x4.75. I wanted some fun texture. I stamped my kraft cardstock, cut out the leaves, then edged the sides with the tea ink. The flowers were stamped, then I over stamped with vintage cream.

Stamps: Beautiful Blooms II, Inside & Out: Birthday, Textstyle II
Ink: Melon Berry, Vintage Cream, Chai Tea Ink, Classic Kraft
Paper: Confetti White, Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Melon Berry
Accessories, etc.: wooden buttons, hemp thread, pop dots
