199!

Can you believe it, we're just one away from 200 sketches! I have to say sometimes it can be really tough coming up with new sketches week after week. In the coming weeks there will be probably be a few changes to the blog. There will still be sketches, they might not be as frequent. We may also go back to doing some of the other types of challenges (colour, technique, inspiration, etc.) just to change things up a bit. I will keep you all in the loop once me and the design team figure it all out :)

Onto the sketch! This one really doesn't need any measurement guidelines. Just choose 3 elements (I went with butterflies) and a sentiment and you're good to go!

This is such a quick sketch that I made 2 cards. They really aren't that different. With the first card, I die cut out 3 butterflies from the Love Lives Here die collection, then used my favorite birthday greeting of the moment (the one from It's a Jungle Out There)

For my second card, I stamped the butterflies onto the card base in black ink, then onto scrap white cardstock with my coloured inks. I cut those out and then placed those over the stamped ones.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: It's a Jungle Out There, Beautiful Butterflies, Birthday Basics
  • Ink: Dark Chocolate, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Black Onyx
  • Paper: Pink Pirouette, Dark Chocolate, White
  • Accessories, etc.: Love Lives Here Die

As always, if you play along, please leave a link to your project!

So tempted to do butterflies, but went with my signature hearts. Look forward to seeing what changes you implement.

Wow, almost 200! It will be fun to see what #200 will bring. I love your Clean & Simple sketches - they are "the best" for inspiring me to try something different. THANK YOU, and I'm looking forward to the weeks ahead as you consider new ideas for the blog!
