FTL 22- Take Two!

Happy Friday! Here's the look back the sketch #22! 

I was in the mood for a bit of watercolouring and emboss resist. I started out with the lovely flower from a Donna Downey/Unity Stamps set called Insightful Meadow. I embossed that with white onto the cotton paper. Next, I used a few Distress Inks to watercolour the background. I used Peacock Feathers, Evergreen Bough, and Pine Needles. I used an old punch by Stampin' Up for the greeting. Since I decided to use brown ink and brown cardstock for the greeting, I felt like I needed to bring in brown elsewhere on the card. I splattered a bit of Dark Chocolate ink on my panel and then mounted the whole thing on a thin white mat. I thought Kraft worked nicely for the card base.

FTL21- Take Two!

Happy Friday! Here's the look back at sketch #21! This one is meant to be a square. Both of my samples were 4.5x4.5

My first card uses the One with Nature set. I wanted something very simple, using bright colours. Colours here are by Papertrey Ink- Harvest Gold, Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry and Dark Chocolate.

Even though I really liked the colours, I just wasn't feeling the first card. I decided to do another using cupcakes! I pulled out WPlus9's Sweet Treats for the cupcakes and Fresh Baked for the sentiment. I coloured the cupcakes with Copic markers. You can't see it in the photo, but I stamped cupcakes all over the black cardstock. I also jazzed up the yellow strip with some polka dots.

FTL20 take two

Good morning everyone!! Hope you are having a wonderful summer so far!!! We sure are, especially now that we are all settled into our new home and I can finally get back to crafting!!

So heres my take on this weeks sketch. Its missing a few elements but I still like it, hope you do to!!

FTL20- Take Two

Here's the look back at Sketch #20!

I really wanted to use my new flamingo dies and the matching stamp set, so I didn't follow the sketch exactly. The size of the two items together made the proportions from the original sketch a little tough to match. I omitted the eyelets in the corners and the ribbon, but it still works well enough!

FTL19- Take Two!

Happy Friday! Here's the look back at the 19th sketch.

 

And here's my take on the sketch. I used this cute cow and sentiment from MFT's The Whole Herd. I coloured it with Copic markers and fussy cut it out.

 

 

Here's the full card. The little hill was made by diecutting a long oval and then chopping off the sides- it's pretty straight-forward I think.
