An Early 132!

Well, I was going to wait until Friday to post this, but I just finished my card and I wanted to share it right away. You know that mentality, right?
Here's the sketch.
You may recognize it if you have similar inspiration files to me-I really love this card by Maile Belles and I also can't wait to get my hands on her new stamp set, Modern Basics. In the mean time, I figured I'd use one of my modern style favorites, Dot Spot, to make a similar look. I also am posting early so I can enter my card into Heather's Totally Hues Challenge #3 before the deadline! The colours to use are Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, Orange Zest, and Summer Sunrise. I found them just perfect for this blustery, snowy day!
Onto the card!
Supplies (all supplies by Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted):
  • Stamps: Dot Spot, Inside and Out: Birthday, Green Thumb
  • Ink: Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist
  • Paper: Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, White
  • Accessories, etc,: Clear Embossing Powder (gel-a-tins), Orange Ribbon (Dunwoody Booth), Rhinestones (Dollarama)
As always, if you play along, feel free to leave a link to your post!

FTL131 Hello

This is the first time I've made a dimensional tag - I don't know what I was waiting for - it is so much fun to embellish it!  I used Heather's colors from her Totally Hues Challenge#3
Supplies: Stamps - Mark's Finest Papers (sentiment from Just Dandy); Paper - PaperTrey; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black; Misc - PTI Tag die, Crop-a-dile, Felt, Buttons, Ribbon

FTL131 Spring Flowers

I had a tough time with the sketch for this week.  I love the sketch but all of the ideas I had in my head didn't seem to work.  I don't have a lot of things that I could use that are three different sizes that were the right dimensions.  So I ended up with my original idea, but using two smaller sized items instead of three different sizes.  I think it turned out OK.

And the card just screams spring to me!
Items Used:
*Cardstock:  PTI White; Stampin' Up! Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso
*Images:  unknown sentiment
*Ink:  Stampin' Up! Early Espresso
*Tools:  Big Shot; Sizzix Daisies #2

I can't wait to see what YOU come up with!

FTL 131

I made a card from this sketch from an apparently faulty memory. I guess it's not TOO far off. I love these colors! I die cut the flowers from coasters and stamped polka dots on them and added the black centers.
Thanks for stopping by!
