Fall To Layout #4 - Thanks a Bunch

I decided to use the colors from Tuesday's SCS color challenge when I made this card: Tempting Turquoise, Glorious Green and White. For added texture I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder on the base of the card and used my Scor-pal to emboss the diamonds on the tempting turquoise panel. I stamped the flower randomly in glorious green on the white panel and added the two image panels and an epoxy sticker. Supplies: Stamps - Hero Arts; Paper - Prism CS, PaperTrey Stampers Select, Michaels; Ink - SU! Glorious Green, Tempting Turquoise; Misc - dimensionals, SEI epoxy sticker.

Fall-To Layout 3 Accents & Elements

Amazingly enough, there were no stamps or ink used in the creating of this card! I used the Messenger Accents & Elements kit. I bought it months ago and this was the first time I used it. It worked perfectly for Fall-to Layout #3. The sentiment is from the SAB rub-ons, Love & Happiness. I adhered a strip of ruby red cardstock and a strip from A&E on a 4-3/4 x 4-1/4 white card base, stuck the flowers on, added some centers to the flowers, and rubbed on the sentiment. Super quick!

Fall To Layout 3

This was a fairly quick card to make using Natasha's Fall to Layout. This layout also accentuates the clusters from earlier this week. I thought flag when I saw the stars, which led me to using the Cuttlebug Distressed Lines embossing folder using the negative effect with SU! Real Red ink brayered on the backside of the embossing folder. I layered some textured blue card stock and a dotted ribbon on the card. Two of the three stars were made with my Star Nestabilities and the middle size star was stamped with a star from Verve Visual Seeing Stars and cut out. All stars are popped up with pop dots. For the sentiment I continued the star theme and stamped the 'shooting' star (Studio G) and the Peace sentiment from PaperTrey's Text Box set. Supplies: Stamps: Studio G, PaperTrey Ink; Paper: PaperTrey Stampers Select, Bazzill; Ink: SU! Real Red, Colorbox White; Accessories: Star Nestabilities, Pop dots, ribbon, Cuttlebug

Fall-to Layout 1

Okay, so here goes for one of my soon to be regular features. This is one of my favorite clean and simple fall-to layouts. It works for virtually any small type image. I've used this layout for Christmas cards, featuring snowflakes where the squares are. I've also done dry embossing in place of the cut out squares, then popped up the smaller image on the raised square. That can make quite an impact! I did the sketch only one way, but of course, it can be used in any of the 4 directions. Another thing, the circle on the sketch represents a knot in your ribbon. That does not have to go on the left side. The key feature here is that the knot off sets the sentiment along the bottom. So whichever side the knot is on, I find that the sentiment should be either central or opposite-sided.

Here's one of many cards featuring this layout. Feel free to play along, file the sketch away in your file or book of sketches! This card was inspired by the ribbon I wanted to use. Next up came the selection of kraft cardstock. Finally, I bought these stars by Verve Visual recently, and hadn't even used them yet (gasp!). Each square is 1-1/4 of white, with a 1-3/8 chocolate mat.
