FTL264, Puppy Blessings Christmas

Hello there crafty people. Today's card is so stinkin' cute! I was really excited to get this stamp set from Papertrey Ink since I have a brand new Dachshund puppy. Her name is Bella, she's 10 weeks old, and she's quite the little curious little girl. There's more about her on my blog. So of course I had to make a little Doxie card. My stamp set is Come All Ye Faithful (with die-cuts) and Stylish Sentiments: Holiday for my sentiment. I used Vintage Christmas from My Mind's Eye with Papertrey Ink True Black and Vintage Cream.  My ink is the new Memento Luxe, which I absolutely love. You can see the fab coverage on my Doxie image.

FTL 254, Nautical Card

Hi friends. Don't we have a great sketch this week?! I had a lot of fun putting together my card. Nautical is so in right now, well, for at least the next 10 seconds, that I wanted to make a nautical card using some new WPlus9 stamps and die-cuts, along with this great anchor embossing folder by Lifestyle crafts. My patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and Studio Calico. I love the look of the enamel dots on cards and those came from My Mind's Eye too. A Stamper's Select White card base by Papertrey Ink and Real Red by Stampin' Up! completed by card. My little anchor embellishment was die-cut from the Dockside dies from WPlus 9 using the stamp set of the same name. I added foam dots to the back of the anchor and adhered it to the circle per the sketch. I then cut a little bit of rustic jute twine, tied it into a knot twice and then put a glue dot at the top of the anchor to secure it. The perfect circle punches for this design are what Natasha used below on her card of 1-1/4"and 1-3/8". I think this is a very unique and pretty design.

I did do a short video on my blog as to how I made my card and I hope you stop by at Cindy Blancett Designs to visit me today. I also have a few more pictures for you to look at too! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!

You Make the Grade, FTL249

Hi friends. I am so glad that I was able to do a card for you today. It's been a very long summer. Can you believe next week will be our 250th sketch! That's a lot of sketches to refer back to just in case you find yourself needing a great sketch on the go!

Today's card was really easy and fun to make. Instead of reaching for my usual Stamper's Select White, I went for grid paper this time since my card has a school theme to it and it reminded me of notebook paper. It's just the little details that can enhance your card to much and make a big difference.

My "grounding shelf" that the books are sitting on is a word bubble stamp from Paper Smooches (Shadows). I flipped it upside down and covered the small corner that leads into the word bubble. Worked perfectly!

I think this is just the most adorable card for a girl to tuck away in her lunchbox for the first day of school. You can simply change the colors out to make it more of a masculine card.

Unfortunately, the pictures do not do this card justice. I really need to find my light box and get it set up.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today and God bless you!
