Ninety-Seven!

Good afternoon! Here's this week's sketch, as I said last week, I made sure to go back to a horizontal orientation this week. Today's sketch is also really clean and simple. I know most of the I post sketches are, however this is even more so than usual. It essentially has 4 items on the card front. I decided to add some extras when making my card. First, I decided to use a textured card base instead of a smooth one. Second, I added buttons to each flower to make them more interesting. Third, I popped up the 2 biggest flowers to create a bit more depth. Never under-estimate the power of pop dots! Yesterday was Canada Day. It's sure nice to have a day off in the middle of the week. It's not so nice having to get ready for work at 6:30 after being at the festivities & fireworks until 12. We couldn't have had a better day, weather wise. It was a hot one! I know it's a long weekend for a lot you! I hope you all have a fabulous and safe holiday! If you happen to take part in the sketch, feel free to leave a link! Ninety Six!

Time for another sketch! I've been apparently on a bit of a vertical orientation rut. I'll try to do something different next week! Here's the sketch. The patterned piece is 4x3.25. I had this stamped lime paper for quite some time. I did some rock'n'roll stamping using Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado, then went around the rind with lime stickles. The finishing touch was to add in some tiny dots in the remaining white space. I struggled with a sentiment for the card. That many limes just didn't say "birthday" to me, so I finally went with a just because. When all else fails, right!

Supplies: Stamps: Fruitful, Round and Round Ink: Black, Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado Paper: Spring Moss, Black, White Accessories, etc.: lime stickles
