#181

I'm getting this one in under the wire... I don't honestly know where my week has gone!!
I have no idea where I got the brads... they've been in my stash for close to forever.  I added a Hero Arts sentiment, a little Pear Pizzazz cardstock and some twine from the Twinery.

FTL181 A+ Teacher

Good morning and welcome to another fun sketch by Natasha. For today's card, I stretched it a bit across the card stock to string a line of apples on twine. The association in my mind is twine, tree, apples. Weird, but it works. I hope that you enjoy this and I'll see you back next week! Have a great day.

Stamps: Fruit Fusion: Apple, It's Official, Teacher's Apple (Papertrey Ink)

FTL181 Happy Birthday

This is a one layer card - all stamping.  The banner image is from Taylored expressions and I colored it with markers and then stamped it onto the card front.  The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink.

181!

Good morning! Here's this week's sketch, it's a one layer card of sorts. I was inspired by all the banner themes that have been quite trendy for the last year or so. You could choose to stamp directly on your card, or do as I did and attach a string with embellishments.

Here's my card:

I started with a Kraft base, since I really enjoy that for one layer cards. I also rounded the corners. I hadn't originally planned on a specific colour for the hearts. I thought about sponging the colour on, but that seemed a bit messy considering how small they are. Instead, I used a Copic marker to give the hearts a touch of red.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Love Lives Here
  • Ink: Dark Chocolate
  • Paper: Kraft
  • Accessories, etc: Baker's Twine, Copic Marker, Brads, Love Lives Here die, Corner Rounder
