Happy Sunday! And happy long weekend if you're in Canada. It's warming up here, so I thought a card featuring an iced coffee could be fun!
Some measurements:
Card Base: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
Sentiment Layer: 3-1/4 x 4-1/2
Sentiment Layer Mat: 3-3/8 x 4-5/8
Top strip: 1 x 4-1/4
I found this sketch a bit of a challenge this week. I originally designed it around Christmas time, and I had a really hard time figuring out what to use in place of the ornament.

I started by stamping a few images from the Stampin' Up! set Coffee Cafe. I've had this one for a bit and had yet to put ink to it. I stamped the images in Memento ink and then die cut the 3 components. Next I lined up the cup and lid and stamped the straw. Next I coloured the coffee with a blend of 3 Copic markers. To make the ice more "icy" I used a blender marker to remove some of the colour.
The sentiment is from Summer Sweetness by Papertrey Ink. For the top sentiment strip I pulled out an oldie colour (Creamy Caramel)and die cut it with the straight border die from MFT's Stitched Scallop Basic Edges.
I ended up omitting the ribbon element since it interfered with the cup.
