Fall To Layout #31

I enjoy stamping my own backgrounds so that is what I did with this sketch. I have a lot more of this pattern left to make several other cards too. I don't think this needs much explanation so I'll just list what I used in the supplies section! Supplies: Stamps - PaperTrey; Ink - Versamark; Paper - PaperTrey; Misc. - White detailed EP, Ribbon

Layout #31

Here's this weekend's sketch. It's my weekend today (working tomorrow) so I figured I'd upload early. If you have time to play along, feel free to leave a link or use the keyword FTL31 at SCS when you upload! For the patterned piece on the right, feel free to use patterned paper or stamp your own. That's what I decided to do. I saw the avocado and aqua mist colour combo somewhere and it reminded me of some patterned papers I saw somewhere else (sorry for all the vagueness!). I decided instead of going through my patterned paper stash I would just stamp my own. It really is one of the best things about stamping, since you can colour match it exactly to other items in your collection.
Supplies:
Stamps: Birthday Basics, Beautiful Blooms
Ink: Ocean Tides, Ripe Avocado
Cardstock: White, Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado
Accessories, etc.: Ripe Avocado Twill

10 Minute Monday on Wednesday

Angel asked about my knots, and I watched these two tutorials many times (Val Stangle and Kristina Werner) and practiced a lot. My technique is kind of a combination of those two. My biggest piece of advice is to make sure you cut plenty of ribbon, it's way harder if you short yourself! Hope this helps. I just love this set by There She Goes, and I was finally able to get it. I pieced the mug and added versamark steam and a sentiment, rounded the corners, and voila! A 10 minute card. Supplies: stamps - Let's Get Together (TSG) paper - kraft, Eva (BG), pretty in pink ink - memento, versamark acc - corner rounder

Ten Minute Monday - Flowers

I used the CAS03 sketch challenge from SCS to make this card. The colors came from the GinaK Stamp TV color challenge: Always Artichoke, Apricot Appeal and Pumpkin Pie. I love this sketch and I can see making this into a set of note cards with it. I colored the image with my markers then stamped it onto the PaperTrey Stampers Select card stock. I colored in the flowers (outline stamp) with my markers. I used a Cuttlebug border embossing folder on the Always Artichoke layer. Finished it off with the MS butterfly punch and some pearls. Supplies: Stamps - Endless Creations; Ink - SU! markers; Paper - PaperTrey, DCWV; Misc - MS Butterfly punch, Cuttlebug Border Embossing Folder, pearls, glue dots.

Ten Minute Monday

This card doesn't get much easier- stamp a few trees, apply rub-on, layer once, apply to card base. Done. I really love these trees, and because I'm a bit of a perfectionist, I had to use my stamp-a-ma-jig with the trunks and tree tops. In the situation, I find it easier to stamp the tree tops first, then use the SAMJ to line the trunks up just so. Supplies: Stamps: Trendy Trees Ink: Ripe Avocado, Dark Chocolate Paper: Whisper White, Dark Chocolate, Ripe Avocado Accessories, etc.: Chit Chat rub-on
