Well its back to reality after a summer vacation spent away!!! But while I was away I had an opportunity to do some stamping with Natasha and another mutual friend!! It was so much fun to craft with people again and try new techniques! On this card I used some of the mist we made that day!!! So much fun!
Anyway here is my take on this weeks challenge...
Have a great weekend everyone!!

Here's this week's sketch. It's pretty straightforward. Make the side solid panel as thick as you like.

Good morning!
Happy Friday! I hope everyone's enjoying the week so far.
When I sketched out this one, I'm not sure what I was thinking putting two sentiment lines on here. I decided to just use the one on the frame accent piece. Here's this week's sketch:
Some measurements:
Main Card: 5-1/2x4-1/4
Background: 5-3/8x4-1/8
Panel Mat: 5-1/2x3-1/4
Panel: 5-1/2x3
I've had these fun resin flower embellishments for quite some time and was excited when I figured out that they would work here! My card:
Supplies:
Stamps: It's a Jungle Out There, Fillable Frames #4
Ink: Smokey Shadow, Enchanted Evening
Paper: Smokey Shadow, Not Quite Navy, White, Grey Damask (Echo Park Paper Co)
Accessories, etc.: Fillable Frames #4 Die, Grey Baker's Twine, Resin Flowers

FTL 254, Nautical Card
Hi friends. Don't we have a great sketch this week?! I had a lot of fun putting together my card. Nautical is so in right now, well, for at least the next 10 seconds, that I wanted to make a nautical card using some new WPlus9 stamps and die-cuts, along with this great anchor embossing folder by Lifestyle crafts. My patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye and Studio Calico. I love the look of the enamel dots on cards and those came from My Mind's Eye too. A Stamper's Select White card base by Papertrey Ink and Real Red by Stampin' Up! completed by card. My little anchor embellishment was die-cut from the Dockside dies from WPlus 9 using the stamp set of the same name. I added foam dots to the back of the anchor and adhered it to the circle per the sketch. I then cut a little bit of rustic jute twine, tied it into a knot twice and then put a glue dot at the top of the anchor to secure it. The perfect circle punches for this design are what Natasha used below on her card of 1-1/4"and 1-3/8". I think this is a very unique and pretty design.
I did do a short video on my blog as to how I made my card and I hope you stop by at Cindy Blancett Designs to visit me today. I also have a few more pictures for you to look at too! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Friday!
Here's this week's sketch. I'm back on a circle kick!
It's been a while since I've used Dot Spot. It's such a great classic stamp set. I also decided to venture away from the usual Happy Birthday card. I wanted to make an encouraging card instead (this is my way of sending good vibes to a certain special someone with a job interview today). I also used the word spotlight technique, which I almost never do. It really works with this style of sentiment though. Try something different today
!
Supplies:
Stamps: Dot Spot, Hello Sunshine (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Tide Pool, Butter Bar, Garden Hills (Hero Arts) Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Paper: White, Bermuda Bay, Summer Sunrise

The dimensions are super basic. The card is your typical 5-1/2x4-1/4. The white layer is 4-3/4x3-1/2. The mat layer is 4-7/8x3-5/8. That's it!
