FTL54 - Just Because

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great Saturday! :) This is what I came up with using the Fall-to Layout #54 Sketch. I stamped the largest bloom from In Bloom onto Ocean Tides CS, then colored it in with one of my Copics to make it look a little more interesting. I then drew the frame, stamped the sentiment and added some clear rhinestones and a tiny bit of Stickles to the flower center. Easy peasy! :)

Supplies: Stamps - In Bloom, Vintage Basket Sentiments Ink - Stazon Black, Copics Paper - Ocean Tides Miscellaneous - Clear Rhinestones, Stickles

Fall to Layout #54 - One of a Kind

Here is my card for this week's sketch. I traced the outside of the largest rectangle Nestability in pencil first, then after stamping the sentiment where I wanted it, I went over the penciled line with a Copic Multiliner pen and erased the pencil marks. I used my Butterfly Cuttlebug die to cut the butterfly from some Basic Grey Wisteria paper. After attaching the butterfly I added the buttons. The sentiment is from PaperTrey Friends Til the End set stamped with Memento Sweet Plum ink. Supplies: Stamps = PaperTrey; Ink - Memento; Paper - PaperTrey Stampers Select, Basic Grey; Misc - Rectangle Nestability, Cuttlebug Butterfly die, Copic Multiliner pen, ruler, pencil, eraser, buttons.

Fall To Layout #54!

This layout was inspired by Nancy, who was inspired by Susan. Isn't it fun how one cool idea gets around?
This sketch can be easily done as a 1 or 1.5 layer card. By that I mean, it's mostly one layer, but there can be a cut out, 3-d element attached. My card originally was just the one layer, but I didn't like how the leaf had stamped. Instead of starting over, I stamped a second leaf, cut it out, and popped it over the first.
Supplies:
Stamps: Paradise (Su!), Floral Frenzy (PTI)
Ink: Ripe Avocado, Soft Suede Marker
Paper: White Cardstock
Accessories, etc.: pop dot, rectangle nestabilities for tracing

Ten Minute Monday 08/03/09

I've got a sneak peek from one of the new I {heart} papers stamp sets. This one is called Hugs from a Bug and it's adorable! I went with clean and simple (of course!), letting the cute bumblebee stand for itself. I stamped the bee twice, once on the base white layer and again on scrap cardstock. I coloured it in with Copic markers and added a bit of sparkle to the wings with the clear spica glitter pen. The pattern paper is by Penny Lane. The card came together quickly so I thought it'd be great for Ten Minute Monday!
Supplies: Stamps: Hugs from a Bug Ink: Palette Noir Paper: Soft Sky, Penny Lane Passion Robin's Egg, White, Black Accessories, etc.: Copic markers, pop dots, black grosgrain, Clear Spica glitter pen
