Fall To Layout #44

Once I decided on the colors I wanted to use this sketch came together rather quickly. I also got to use up some scraps - love when that happens!! The papers are all from PaperTrey as is the sentiment. The brads are from Making Memories and the ribbon is from the $1 bin at Michaels. The white panel with the brads is popped up on dimensionals. Supplies: Stamps - PaperTrey Friends Til the End; Ink - Versamark; Paper - PaperTrey; Misc - White embossing powder, brads, ribbon, EKSuccess scallop border punch, Dimensionals

FTL 44!

Hello everyone! It's time for another sketch. Don't be afraid of the slight business of the sketch. It's actually very easy to make it extremely clean and simple! Here's the sketch: And here's my card. Since there's been a certain paper sale on this month (the SU! buy 3 get 1), I figure I should try to make use of more of my patterned paper stash. For this card, I chose one pack- I think it's Jersey Shore and used that as my colour scheme.

Some dimensions for you:

  • Typical card base 4-1/4x5-1/2 find this sketch works a bit better if you do a top fold.
  • Blue dotted paper:4-1/4x1-3/4
  • Dark blue panel/mat: 4-5/8x3-3/8
  • Textured White Panel (with stars)- the entire piece is actually 3-1/4x4-1/2
  • Green Scallops: 1/2'' at the widest point x3-1/4
  • Bashful Blue:1-1/2x3-1/4
  • Pumpkin Pie:1-3/4x3-1/4

Supplies: Stamps: Great Expectations (Verve Stamps) Ink: Brilliant Blue Paper: Kraft, Textured White, Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Jersey Shore Accessories, etc.: Scallop punch, Wasabi double-stitched ribbon, star punch, pop dots

FTL43 Heartfelt Thanks

This sketch was very different from any other that I have done. I made my card 4.25 in square so it would fit in an A2 envelope. I decided to use red, white and blue for the colors in honor of Memorial Day in the US and to participate in Sharon Johnson's ssnotime88 challenge (use red, white and blue). I used the 2 sizes of star stamps in PTI"s Everyday Classics stamp set and made background paper. Then I cut a circle from that paper with my classic Nestabilities and matted it with a Scallop Circle Nestability. I cut out a red star from the background paper and popped it up on top of a stamped star. I adhered the circle with dimensionals. I used three different ribbons for the strips and I stamped the sentiment on the white ribbon. Supplies: Stamps - PTI Everyday Classics; Ink - Pallette Starry Night, SU! Real Red; Paper - PaperTrey Stampers Select, PTI Poppy Red; Misc - Netabilities, dimensionals, ribbon

FTL 43

Hello! Happy Friday! Here's this week's sketch. I figured it was time for a square card again. I wanted something ultra simple, but more than a single layer. This is what I came up with: The dimensions I used:
Spring Moss strip: 3-7/8x1/2
Ripe Avocado dotted strip: 3-1/8x7/8
Dark Chocolate strip: 3-1/2x3/8
Circles: Approximately 1-7/8 diameter and 2-1/8 diameter
Card Size: 4-1/4x4-1/4
The card is quite simple. I stamped and cut out the tree, then arranged the papers as I had sketched out, and added a greeting.
Supplies:
Stamps: Trendy Trees, Birthday Basics
Ink: Ripe Avocado, Dark Chocolate
Paper: Vintage Cream, Ripe Avocado, Spring Moss, Dark Chocolate, Bitty Dots (Avocado), Kraft
Accessories, etc.: pop dots, circle nestabilities
As always, feel free to leave a link to your card in the comments!
